Cinema Book Studio teams up with the great composer Marcús JGR.

An Excepcional Film Composer

Marcús JGR is the founder of Cinema Book Studio, along with Robert Kessner. He heads Cinema Book Studio's team of audiobook creators, speakers, narrators, and translators, drawing on his musical knowledge, his experience and career as a composer, and his skill gained over many years as a sound engineer.

He is the creator of the soundtrack for El Testament de la Rosa, an adaptation of the novel by Colm Tóibín dedicated to the extraordinary figure of Rosa Novell; Uncertain Glory, directed by Agustí Villaronga, with which he was nominated by Marcús JGR for the best Musical Soundtrack at the Gaudí Awards in 2018; The Odd Perspective, a production awarded as Best Neo Noir Thriller at the Crime Story Film Festival in Los Angeles; Born a King, a Spanish-UK biographical co-production, with which he worked at Abbey Road Studios with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Terra de Telers, by Joan Frank Charansonnet; El ventre del mar, a production directed by Agustí Villaronga, and for which Marcús JGR was the winner of the Biznaga award for best soundtrack, and nominated for the second time at the Gaudí awards for best soundtrack in 2022.

A Prolific Author

He is also the composer of the soundtrack for Loli Tormenta, the last film released in 2023, directed by the unique film director Agusti Villaronga; The Angelus case, Dalí's fascination, great comedy shot in 2022.

 

Marcús JGR, a prolific composer, is currently creating music for the acclaimed visual artist, sculptor, photographer and architect Jaume Plensa in the documentary-exhibition Poetry of Silence, that has been on display at La Pedrera in Barcelona.


Marcús' professional list includes a wide and colossal professional career in musical works in videogames and his own productions.
